Now that the weather has gotten colder, we’re excited to start warming up again with homemade soups! Preparing soup at home will support your ability to better control your diet. Store bought varieties of soup contain a lot of added sodium, sugar, and other mystery ingredients that can negatively impact your health.
With that said, homemade soup is a wonderful way to get in plenty of healthy foods all in one meal. Maximize nutrients by starting with homemade stock or bone broth, keep adding veggies, and top with fresh herbs to garnish. Remember, the more colorful the meal the more nutrition it contains.
